Our Roots

My mother was an original “American Picker” back in the early 70’s when my sister and I were just kids growing up in eastern Connecticut.  Back then, my mom, Shirley, would travel the countryside "picking" in search of the perfect “find," sometimes by climbing through a broken window of an abandoned house!  All of which was completely sketchy, but, hey, it was the 70’s.  Seems crazy, I know, but those stories and my mother’s love of antiques are what planted the seeds of thought for this space.

So come along for the ride, as I trip down memory lane in search of the perfect “find."  Along the way, I promise to share my knowledge and love of vintage clothing as well as assist you with finding that unique piece or help guide you with the selling of your loved one’s special collection of vintage clothing, furs or costume jewelry.
